Exposition
Recreation
Commission (MERC), an appointed commission of
Metro, a metropolitan service district organized under
the laws of the State of Oregon and the Metro Charter,
located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR
97232-2736, is hereby requesting sealed proposals
for Integrated Electronic Security Upgrade at the
Oregon Convention Center
Sealed proposals are due no later than 2:00pm,
August 19, 2014, in Metro’s business offices at 600
NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, Atten-
tion: Julie Hoffman, Procurement Analyst, RFP 2519.
This project is to upgrade security at the Oregon
Convention Center (OCC): there is a requirement to
upgrade its existing security Video Management
System (VMS), replace its existing Access Control
System (ACS), integrate its VMS with the new ACS,
and upgrade the security console in its Security
Operations Center (SOC).
A MANDATORY pre-proposal conference will be
held at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE MLK
Jr. Blvd, Portland, OR 97232 on July 24, 2014 at
1:00pm. Proposers shall meet in the main lobby of the
OCC, at the intersection of NE MLK Jr. Blvd and
Oregon St. Interested proposers and subcontractors
are encouraged to attend the conference in order to
gain information about the RFP requirements.
Pre-proposal conference attendees will be required
to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to
receive the drawing set for this project.
