U your friends like to drop in for coffee and conversation most any time of day or night, they are fortunate if you are a perfect hostess who oners them a choice of regular and caffein-free coffee. Caffein- free coffee is the perfect beverage for those who must set a limit to the number of cups they drink a day. Co-star the drink with cheese, doughnuts or coffee cake. It is no top secret that a Coffee Klatsch *’ins friends. An automatic electric pot is an especially convenient coffee maker for those who serve it throughout the day and evening. You're a doubly thoughtful hostess if you provide sm all, medium and urge cups so that each guest can take his choice. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like coarse meal. Combine eggs and milk; add to flour mixture and mix only enough to dampen flour. Spread in a greased 16x10x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with Crumble Topping. B ale in a moderate oven (375* F.) 35 to 40 minutes. CRUMBLE TOPPING Mix 4 tablespoons sugar and 1 4 teaspoons cinnamon. Add to 1 4 cups soft bread crumbs and toss with 4 tablespoons melted Pork Calls For Prunes In This Economical Dish butter. Add 4 tablespoons chopped nuts and sprinkle over coffee cake before baking. VACUUM TYPE COFFEE When making caffein-free coffee in a vacuum coffee maker, the standard measurement is two level tablespoons for a 6-ounce cup of water. This same propor tion applies regardless o f the s u e of the Cory Maker. It makes a goixi full bodied c m of coffee. Slightly more water can be used for this measurement of coffee, if a weaker brew is desired. The water should be put in the bottom bowl and brought to the boiling point. The top containing the coffee should then be inserted.
