Mrs Moore read Van Dyke’s “O ther Wise Man” and Mrs. Tw ila Block, accom panied by Mrs McCoy sang two beauti ful C hristm as num bers. In cm» ing, Mrs O ldenburg told briefly of the retired m issionaries of the Inter m ountain ureu of tin* U nited S tates as well as those In Syria, Iran and Irak for whom p ray er was m ade in the closing benediction. On T hursday, Dec. 1st the P resb y terian W omen’s Associut ion held its reg u lar all day m eet ing with a full program of busi ness and inspiration ()|x-iiing at 19 39 with the devotional period on the subject of P ray er, led by Mrs. Juntos Edgar, the business session follow ed. T he president, Mrs. C lyde S m ith presided and called for rep o rts from all of uie standing com m ittees. Final plans for the annual ba z a ar w ere com pleted and many year-end activities w ere discus sed. B eginning in J a n u a ry the devotional study will be “The A lternative to F u tility ” an the mission study classes will be resum ed. A com bined all day m eeting on Ja n u a ry 21st at the P resb y terian church will give the women of the M ethodist and P resb y terian churches an oppor tu n ity to study Ja p an together w ith m orning and afl .10011 sessions and a lunch a t noon.
