Dedicate Site of New Public Park Hornbrook (Special, — About 85 members of the Hornbrook Grange and others of the Com munity attended he pot luck din ner given at the Grange Hall Sunday Oct. 23, preceding the dedication of the future Park and play ground. Mr. Harold Shook, master of the Hornbrook Grange presided and presented Mr. J. W. Hodge as being ihc one who worked to get the work underway. Mr. Hodge gave the history of the land that the Gr ange acquired for the Park. It was formerly owned by Mr. Marshall Horn who gave the Grange a quit claim deed. Also, thru his influence, all delinque nt taxes against these lots were canceled by the county. After the dinner and speeches all drove to the Park site where District Deputy Wayne Ralston turned the first shovelfull of dirt and conducted the dedicat ion service. On Saturday the 29th the men of the Grange worked at clearing the brush and leveling the grounds. The ladies served a pot luck lunch at noon.
