the c ity s u p e rin te n d e n t orders
to proceed w ith re m o d e lin g o f
the new fir e h a ll on T h ird st­
reet, heard the In te rim budget
com m ittee,
discussed

s tru c to rs and va rio u s o th e r ro u ­
tin e c ity business m atters. The
m eeting, w h ic h sta rte d at 8 p.m ,
was a d jo u rn e d a t a p p ro x im a te ly
8:55.

progress re p o rt on th e ir studies
to date.
Stevenson stated th a t the com ­
m itte e has m et on several oc-
cassions and has fo und th a t the
p ro b le m p icke d o u t fo r them is
la rg e r than had been realized.
He said th a t the co m m itte e was
co n ta ctin g va rio u s o rg a nizatio ns
to g a th e r facts and fig u re s and
a fte r th e y had the facts and fig ­
ures w o u ld present sound recom ­
m endations to the c ity c o u n c il
on the long range fin a n c in g o f
the c ity ’s projects.
