S everal Methods Em ployed For Shortening Skirts Those of you who have some of the slender skirts ot last year w ill find they f it in n icely w ith the new plans since that is the look design­ ers have been achieving In th eir clothes. Decorative Features Alter M any Dresses Picturesque collars and cuffs are very much a p a rt of the new fash­ ion picture, and simple tricks m ay be employed fo r refreshing old clothes. I f you have enough m ate ria l left over from shortening a dress, this m ight easily be used to make col­ lars and possibly cuffs, or a pocket or two. Collars are big. They m ay have large points; they m ig ht be the coachman type that stand up in back and plunge low In front. Some collars, especially on the classic type dress m ig ht be the sm all pointed type or Peter Pan variety, and could easily be c a r­ ried out In velvet or velveteen, and thus be exceedingly fashion-wise.
