Ida Church The annual 4-H Club Fair will be held at the Fred Engel home on Thursday, Aug. 18. Bellview Grange met Tuesday evening for their social meeting with a large number in attend ance. The program was in charge of Henry Lindsay and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grimm. Several amus ing games were played and mov ies were shown by Charlie Worth and Ed Grimm. Ashland Man Cited At Weed News From Klamath Junction By Mrs. Carl Moore The Yreka Journal said Thurs day that Raymond Lee Edwards, 60, reportedly of Ashland, had been cited to appear in superior court on charges of felonious as sault after he had injured his stepdaughter. Lois McConnell, in a struggle that took place at Weed. Calif. Officers who intercepted him at Yreka as he attempted to return to Oregon were said to have told newsmen that Edwards had threatened to kill his wife. The struggle at Weed resulted ’.• hen Edwards, armed with a rifle, a pistol and a knife, set forth from his car, apparently intent on harming his estranged wife. Ashland Chief of Police, Vera Smith said that the local depart ment does not have any record of a Raymond Lee Edwards nor does the city directory have his name. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bush, who have been residing for the past year on the Grow Ranch, Hiway 66, have purchased a home in Ashland on Alida St. They are moving this week. Mrs. B. B. Rosenberg and chil dren. Stephen and Margaret, of Eureka, Calif., are visiting her mother, Mrs. William Young on Neil Creek Road.. Robert Sullivan of Neil Creek Rd. and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A.
