IT WOULD be mighty fine to fix seats in the amphitheatre style before the new hand shell. We’re all for it. We only hope that the seats don’t extend up the hill so far that those folks who like to come and sit on a blanket spread out on the grass have no place to go. Then there’s the kids to consider, those who dash mad ly about playing “run, sheep run” while the band con cert is going on. What will permanent seating do to ward their games? Lots of problems arise when this seating is consid ered seriously. There’s nothing that takes the heart out of a good bandsman like a bunch of empty seats at a concert. Let’s hope that no one has any grandiose ideas and gets too many seats placed before the new bandstand, cause then they wouldn’t all be full, and this would break down the morale of many of the play ers. * * * VACATIONS IT’S EASY to take a vacation in Oregon.
