Talent, April 25—Construction
of a new city water system for
the ajty of Cave Junction will get
underway immediately, according
to Ralph Reed, president of Shas
ta Distributors, Talent, Oregon
corporation which has the con
tract to install the new system.
Reed stated that the work
would be completed by the mid
die of June. Local labor is to be
used on the job.
The reservoir is located on
hill southeast of the city. The pro
perty has been purchased from
Ira H alt An eight inch main will
carry the water from the reser
voir to the city. The drop is 173
feet from the storage reservoir to
the city, giving a dynamic head
of 173 feet.
