Care of PiUowe
Pillows should be gently plumped
up every day when making the
beds—not pounded or beaten, as
this breaks the feathers. On linen
changing day if the pillows without
slips are placed in an open win
dow, the fresh air w ill fluff up the
pillows. During housecleaning time
pillows can be aired outdoors, but
not in the sunshine as the heat
dries the feathers.
Baking Utensils
In selecting roasting and baking
utensils, look for materials sturdy
enough not to warp when exposed
to high oven temperature. Few
seams, smooth edges, and rounded
comers all make cleaning easier.
Whenever possible, select utensils
which can be used for both range
top and oven cookery.

There is every indication that the
President was not kidding when
some weeks ago he indicated he
m ight "get on a tra in " and make
another trip to take his program
to the people it his measures were
not forthcoming from congress. He
may make some radio talks, but he
has found he is not as effective on
the radio as he is face-to-face with
the audiences out in the home
towns of the country, talking to
them in their own language.
A person who shoots or traps
foxes, or kills them other than by
the normal method of hunting is
sometimes called a vulpicide.
Safety Shields
Keep shields over revolving pow
er take-off shafts. Many accidents
occur at these places on machines
when they are left unprotected.
Honey Improves Cake
One or two tablespoons of honey
added to any cake mixture w ill im
prove the flavor and help to keep
the cake from drying out.
