The ussignlng of num bers begun at First street with each lock west of Highway 99 being designated as the 100 block. The second block west ha« been designated the 200 block & so on. Houses on the first blocks westwurd of 99 will be ussigned num bers from 100 to 199. First street will probably be used us the centrul dividing street and on street running north and south the portion of the city north of First street will be des­ ignated us North Phoenix and that South as South Phoenix. For exam ple: The Phoenix A n­ tique shop would be designated as being on Highway 99 North, whereas Johnny's Garage would be designated as being on High­ way 99 South. Denzer Phoenix, Feb. 23 — F rank A r­ thur Denzer, 82, resident of Phoe­ nix since 1914, was buried on Thursday afternoon at the Phoe­ nix cemetery. Denzer, who had been confined since January 15, when he was struck by an auto­ mobile, died from a h eart ail­ ment. Services were conducted by the Rev. E. J. Clark, pastor of the Phoenix Presbyterian church. Pallbearers were m em bers of the Phoenix Grange. Conger-M orris funeral home was in charge of arrangem ents. Denzer wus born Jan u ary 22, 1867, a t Milwaukie. Wis., and came to this com m unity in 1914 from St. Paul, Minn. He was a m em ber of Phoenix P resb y ter­ ian church and the grange.
