The occasion was the Elks Annual Football banquet. Guests were served from a m enu including ham, beef, and bear meat. Roland Parks, Exalted Ruler of the Elks, welcomed the guests. Robert Reinholdt as M aster of Ceremonies, i n t r o d u c e d the coaches of the teams, A1 Sim p son, SOC; George Bray, Talent; Chuck DeAutremont, Ashland Junior High school; and F rank O’Neil, Ashland High School; who in tu rn introduced their team members. The Southern Oregon college squad won five and lost four games during the season, ending up tied for first place honors in the Far W estern Conference. The Talent High School six-m an team won seven games and lost one, placing second in state six-m an football circles. X-Ray Survey Is Up Over 1947 A total of 1367 X -ray pictures were taken during the recent X- ray survey held in A shland ac cording to a report released this week by Mrs. John Cotton, gen eral chairm an.
