He was active in organizing the
Bellview Telephone Co. a group
of farm ers 6 or 8 subscribers,
with one line which has grown to
12 lines and 87 phone holders. He
has been president of the B ell­
view Tel. Co. for 38 years. The
company incorporated in F e b ru ­
ary 1948, Capitol stock $5,000,
and Homes is at present retained
by the new board of directors as
Assistant Secretary and Assistant
Manager of the company as it is
today.
As a m em ber of the Upper V al­
ley Cattle Assn, or the Keene
Creek Cattle Association and a
producer of cattle, Homes served
that Association as Secretary
Treasurer thruout all its years of
activity, and altho no longer act
ive as a cattle man, he is retained
still as an officer of the cattle a s­
sn. About all of his farm ing acti­
vities have given w'ay to other in­
terests. Having sold his property,
country home, and farm m achin­
ery he is now a citizen of the city
of Ashland, residing on Siskiyou
Blvd.
He was m em ber of county tax
comm ittee appointed by Gov.
Meyers to study tax problems ol
