Talent. Aug. 3—Susie, the bear,
got out Sunday and spent the
day rambling about Talent. Mon
day evening Mrs. Guy Stager
went out on her back porch and
started to shoo a large dog off
the porch but when the dog got
up she saw that she was mistak
en in her animal. She called Guy
and told him there was a bear
on the porch but he refused to
believe her till he went out and
saw for himself. When he be
came convinced, he went across
the road to get Dick Skeeters to
shoot the wild animal; but Anna
belle thought he was kidding and
by the time she had been con
vinced that there really was a
bear and went to call Dick; some
one had bought an ice cream
cone and led Susie back to her
Wickiup at King's Cafe where it
was decided that the electric
fence had gone off and Susie
had gone out.
