Extensive dam age was done to
the roof of the home of George
Campbell on M ountain Avenue
by fire Saturday, started, fire­
men said, by a spark from the
mill burner nearby. The roof was
badly damaged and some d a m ­
age from w ater was also sustain
ed.
Aiso Saturday afternoon, fire­
men were calk'd to the home of
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. M erritt at
1296 Iowa street to quell a blaze
started when a pan of hot grease
overturned on the stove. Little
damage was reported by the fire­
men.
