Recently a t a g ath erin g o f lite r­

ce rtain well-known producer was
holding fo rth on th e countless m is­
tak es he had m ade in his business
and how much money th ey had cost
him.
“ I declare,” he announced, " I ’m
m y own w o rst enem y.”
“N pt while I ’m h ere,” came a re ­
joinder from th e back of th e room.
A certain city dw eller was inordi­
n ately proud o f his sm all suburban
fa rm , from w hich he commuted
daily. One day he w as proudly con­
du ctin g a v isito r over his ru ral
acres.
“ You have a nice little place
h ere,” th e visito r rem arked.
" \ e s ,, I have,” w as the reply.
"A nice g ard en ."
“ Yep.”
“ And some fine chickens.”
“ E specially fine chickens.”
“ You like chickens very m uch?”
asked th e visitor.
“ Indeed, I do!” w as th e enthusi-
