Southern Oregon New» Review, Ashland, Ore., I buri., March 19, 194S . . NEWS FROM TALENT . . J/árcá M e a r, TALENT TOPICS WE GIVE S 4 H GREEN by Alice Burnette I have fully dcided to be mere ly u spectator ut the sport of gardening especially after taking it seriously one sunny day last week and spading a (dot about five feet square. Alaybe garden ing does not alfeet others In as many different spots as it did me; 1 am sure there are more unusued muscles than anyone who has not tried spading a small plot of earth can possibly realize. Of course when my flower, bloom they may recompense mt for my sore muscles or the m us cular soreness will be so far In the background that I'll have to wait for another spring to roll around and another attack of spring fever sets in before I’ll a p preciate them. It does seem tin» bad when people are so ambitious that the w eather cannot cooperate to a greater extent and dry the good earth up a little more. Of course If it did, we'd all complain about that too; but I like this w eather even if slightly dampish. I’m sure nowhere on earth does the earth look brighter than right here In the Rogue River Valley after a rain when the sun comes out and the wind blows the clouds away.
