Phoenix, Feb. 18 — Mrs. Geo.
Bourne and Mrs. Earl Briscoe, co-
chairmen of the Phoenix March
of Dimes Campaign, expressed
th ilr satisfaction this week with
the sum contributed in Phoenix.
Mis. Bourne reports that $225.-
05 was turned over to Ralph
Sw ivney, Jackson county drive
treasurer.
Mrs. Briscoe urges those people
who have letters of contribution
which they Intend sending In to
get them in as soon as possible
so that all funds can he turned
over to Mr. Sweeney and u final
tabulation made.

Old Oregon Will
Open February 21
Phoenix, Feb. 19—The Old
Oregon Dinner in Phoenix will
I re-open on Feb. 21 following a
shut down for the w inter months
while several cabins were con­
structed and the Interior rem od­
eled.
Mrs. Lila Earl, owner states
that the kitchen has been enlarg­
ed and rem odeled prim arily for
the purpose of better serving her
customers. She also stated that
as before she will specialize in
steaks and chicken and will cater
to banquets and parties.
Neighbors Hold
Card Party
Phoenix, Feb. 19 — The N eigh­
bors of Woodcraft will hold the
second card party of a series of
three tonight at the Phoenix
grange hall at 8:00 p.m.
The party, open to the public,
will consist of bridge, pinochle,
500 ,and other card games. Prizes
will be aw arded to winners.
All those attending will have a
chance at the grand party priz
which will be presented at the
final party to be held on the 18th
of March and attendance is re ­
quested at the drawing.
On the serving com m ittee are

mond Furry, Mrs. George Bourne
and Lillian Coleman.
