W aterbury r United States Army, retired spoke to the Reserve Officers As soclation in Medford, Tuesday evening. The Colonel discussed WILLIAM C. RENIE the physical training program Win. Chas. Renie, 576 Indiana which he developed for the Army street died February 13 at 6:00 a. m. in the Ashland Com m unity hospital He had been ill for sever al weeks. The funeral was held Monday, February 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the L itw iller chapel. The Rev E. P. Borden was in charge of the services. Renie was born TR A C TO R March 20, 1865 in Mt. Vernon 111. the son of Chas. B. and Mary Fredericks Renie. Hee was pre ceded In death by his wife, Hat tie M. who died In K lam ath Falls 16 years ago. He is survived by his three children, Jacob and Jack, Los Angeles, Edwin of Ash land, and Mrs. Pearl Grisw old of K lam ath Falls, Oregon. He was a saw filer for m any years and had resided in this area for 15 years and in Oregon 28 years. The body was sent to Portland for cremation. M itchell was born April 6, 1918, at Tacoma, W ashington, the son of Clyde and Bessie Mitchell, and had resided here five years. He is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Dick Johnson, form er editor of the Siskiyou, Southern Oregon college new spaper, is leaving this week for Rock Springs, Wyoming where he will be wire editor of the Rock Island Rocket. Mrs. Johnson, who Is presently em ployed at the First National Bank will join him In a few weeks . Mr. and Mrs. A. T. RICHARD HENRY BOULTON Richard Henry Houlton, 695 B street, passed away in Ashland Community Hospital after an ill ness of three days, on February 15 at 11:45 p.m. Funeral services were held at Litwillers Funeral Chapel W ed nesday, February 18, at 3 p.m. Rev. George Shum an was in charge. Boulton was born Jan. 11, 1884, at Stillw ater, M innesota, the son of John H. and Elizabeth S. M ar saw Boulton. He was a m em ber of Elks Lodge no. 944, B rother hood of R. R. Trainm en. He was united in m arriage to Agnes Cranstoune, June 7, 1916, In La Grange, Oregon. They moved to Ashland in 1942. Besides his wife he leaves his children, Edw ard of Ashland, Neil of Union, Oregon, Mrs Elizabeth Davidson of Portland, two g ran d children and four sisters. FRANK H. LAURENT Frank Henry L aurent of 508 N. Main street died a t his residence February 15 at 8 a.m. Services were held for L aurent by Rev. Earl Downing of the Church of Christ, In the L itw iller Chapel, W ednesday, February 18 at 1:30 p.m. L aurent was a m em ber of the I.O.O.F. lodge. He was a farm er by occupation residing 12 years in Ashland. He m arried Nora Tlnboden in Eaglegrove, Iowa, in 1903. L aurent was born December 6, 1879, in Dixon, Illinois the son of Chas.
