Above Ground Turnip
Kohlrabi is a curious vegetable. It
1» an above-the-ground turnip with
leaves that sprout out like the scales
of a fish. Cooking experts suggest
preparing it exactly like a turnip—
trim the leaves, pare and slice
lengthwise. Cook in lightly-salted
water for 20 minutes, drain and
serve with melted butter or cream.
