summer-green pasture has an in
creased growth promoting power
that its winter produced counter
part does not have. The substance
has been Isolated and identified
as a nutrient called vaccenlc acid.
Summer stored butter fed during
the winter months showed that the
growth factor retained its potency
under normal storage conditions.
