Due to the absence of a lectur er, no program was held. GRANGE VETOS BUILDING PROJECT Talent will have no new Grange hall. Not this year at any rate. After much debate, pro and con, members of the local farm ers organization have decided al most unanimously to defer any building plans until some time in the future. While members agreed that a new hall was highly de sirable at this time, nevertheless, the fact that many other building requirements should hold prior ity over those of the Talent com munity organization discouraged the Grangers from attempting the project at this time. It was thought that it would be better to put up with the adverse con ditions encountered at the City Hall than to run the risk of caus ing a shortage on some more im portant project However, some progress has been made on the matter. A piece of property directly across the street from the Talent school has been acquired by the organiza tion for a site, and plans have been drawn up for the proposed building. Actual construction will not start until material sit uation becomes less critical. Mrs. Mary Higgins, of Talent is in the hospital with a bad case of tonsilitis.
