A boy's o r m a n ’ s suit can be
c le a rly fashioned in to a blazer
ja c k e t fo r daughter, and the pants
m a y be used fo r a w rap-around
s k irt fo r m o th e r o r daughter. The
ja c k e t w ill p ro b a b ly need few
a lterations. In some cases it w ill
be necessary to rip it a p a rt to cut
down fo r size, but th is is easily
done.

Now. here's how the ja c k e t is fin ­
ished in to a blazer. A tape o f con­
tra s tin g co lo r is selected fo r tr im ­
m ing. This is piped around the col­
la r and down the fro n t. I f there are

What about the color? I f the suit
is navy, brow n o r black, d o n 't fuss;
ju s t use a b rig h t colored trim . I f

The trousers, when ripped, can be

speed, o f course, and th is was con­
tro lle d on a side lever. T here was
a second side lever, w hich, when
pushed fo rw a rd , was supposed to be
an em ergency brake, but had no
ra tc h e t to hold i t and i f you re lie d
on the b ra k in g pow er you w ere com ­
p le te ly lost.
The Thom as F ly e r, w hich was
b u ilt in m y home tow n in B uffalo,
was a v e ry good c a r and m ost ex­
pensive. I re m e m b e r th a t one of
them won a race around the w o rld
in co m p e titio n w ith tw o o r three
others, one o f which was a F ia t.
