To Clean Out Fowl Ticks
Carbolineum, a wood preservative
sold under various trade names,
will control fowl ticks. In treating a
house, clean the roosts and sur
rounding woodwork. Then apply car
bolineum, being careful to get it in
all cracks and crevices. The chemi
cal, which can be applied with a
brush or a sprayer, will spray bet
ter and go farther if mixed with
about equal parts of kerosene. Ap
ply early in the morning to allow the
material to dry in thoroughly before
roosting time.
