He gave an unusually vivid account of prison life, his speech being more than a n arra tive of personal reaction. He tou ched upon factors which influen ced the camp life, with under standing and accurate knowledge. Lt. H arr is a form er student of SOCE, where he was active in dramatics, an experience he turn ed to use as a prisoner by enter ing into camp entertainm ents. His dram atic ability was reflect ed also in his vivid narrative of prison life, its humors as well as its hardships. Mrs. H arr was also a college visitor w ith her husband. Superintendents, coache s a n d principals are urged to contact interested men so that these men can study the rules, take the ex amination and become credited officials of the Oregon State High School Activities Association. During the football season the Southern Oregon Officials Asso ciation has provided the officials for over forty games. It was nec- esary in numerous cases of an official to work an afternoon B league game then work again in the evening. All schools including Yreka California were furnished officials by the local association. Credited officials in Southern Oregon were: Don Faber, Roland Parks, Ralph McCulloch, Earl Schilling, Les Grant, George Bales, Eddie Joanis and Norman Worthly. With only two excep- Robert Millian Robert Mullan, of Gold Hill, will be on duty at the Chamber of Commerce beginning Monday, November 26, Earl T. Newbry, president of that organization an nounced Tuesday of this week. Mr. Mullan will replace Mrs. P. H. Stansbury, who was employed tem porarily several month ago to keep the work up until a perm an ent secretary could be found. In commenting on the appoint m ent Mr. Newbry stated that Mr. Mullan is a Jackson county man, just discharged from the navy a couple of weeks ago. While he has not been engaged prior to his ser vice with the navy in any Cham ber of Commerce work, his back ground is very suitable for the new position. He was very active in Boy Scout work before his en listm ent and at one time repre sented the Jackson county scouts at the National Boy Scout Jam boree in Washington, D. C.
