The two towns have been trad i tional rivals and a good delega tion there might go a long ways to buck up the local lads in their toughest game of the season. Of course Medford is a heavy favorite to take the game. They have indeed run up an impressive score this season, continuing an unbeaten record of last year For this playing season ,the Tornado goal line has been crossed but twice, und the game last Friday night with Bend when they ran up a score of 78 to 0 reputed to be the lurgest score in high school football in several seasons. In seven games this fall they have ummassed a total of 401 points against heir opponents’ 16, which ¡4 pretty fust football in any m an’s league. While Ashland has had a good or average season, they have been defeated twice, with K la m ath Falls and Marshfield taking a game apiece. They huve not turned in any impressive record und it would be only by u fluke or something that they could win, if the figures of the game mean anything. But we imugine that there will be some good playing by the Ashland boys, and we are sure they will fight till the final gun sounds. A good turn out of Ash land fans will help. How about it? ASUI AND, JACKSON CO UN TY, OREGON Grizzlies Turn on Heat to Win From Roseburg Here Friday Night 33 to 14 Young Methodists In Hallowe’en Party The Young Adult Methodist Youth Fellowship Class h e l d their monthly covered-dish-dinn- er-party last Saturday evening in the Fellowship Rooms of the Church. At six thirty the young married couples sat down to the bounteous dinner in the rooms decorated with bats, owls, cats, skeletons, pumpkins, autum n col ors, and fall flowers. Mrs. Bill Howell, and Mrs. George W. Bruce and Mrs. Avis Anderson decorated the rooms and tables for the evening. Following the dinner the forty people sat around the fire place ana enjoyed Hallowe’en games led by Mr. Bill Howell. A real ghost story was told while the group sat in semidarkness, ana articles representing the dead body of a slain person were pass ed from hand to hand among the participants. Many an “ah” and “OOH” and a scream now and then were heard. The game of "M urder” added to the ‘spooki ness’ of the evening’s entertain ment. Mrs. Ed Nelson, dressed in a white ghost costume, carrying a flash light beneath the robe, stood in the dark room and read a ghost story that made the chills creep up and down the spines o those who listened. Mrs. Avis Anderson, Mrs. Bill Howell and Mrs. G. W. Bruce were the kitchen and entertain m ent committee for the evening. At a late hour the party broke up and people were rem arking “this is the best party we ever had— what good times we have at these monthly meetings—wish we could meet oftener. Too bad the other member of the class had to miss this.” The next m onthly dinner party will be held on the regular meeting date in the month of Dec ember.
