He has been there some time. Mrs. M. Combe and Mrs. Art Bacus oi Jacksonville were call­ ing on friends and transacting business here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Simeon Griffith have purchased a farm near Hornbrook, California and are moving there this week. Mrs. Bob Logan left last Wed­ nesday for Syracuse, Kansas to visit relatives and friends. Mrs. Colin Webster who has been in Kansas for the past two years will return here to make this her home. Mrs. Charles Skeeters attended graduation exercises at Prospect, last Friday evening. Miss Josephine Staska who re­ sides south of Talent on the Old Pacific highway was admited to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Med ford last Wednesday. Mrs. Nona Macabbe made a business trip to Medford Monday. Frederick Sturgis a resident of Talent passed away Sunday at the Community hospital in Ash­ land after a weeks illness. Mr. Sturgis was born in the Apple- gate country and lived most of his life in Oregon. The funeral services were held at Litwiller Funeral chapel Wednesday after­ noon with Dr. George Bruce of­ ficiating. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Central Point Mr. and Mrs. Harry Walters and children spent Sunday even­ ing with Mrs. Walter’s sister Mrs Evelyn Christian and family in Medford. and 2811». N ite Funeral services were held Thursday at the Litwiller Fun­ eral Chapel for Mrs. Nettie Mae Hunt of 387 Laurel street, who died from a sudden heart uttack at the hospital Monday, May 14. The Rev. Gordon Lindsay, pastor of the Full Gospel Church offici­ ated. Mrs. Hunt was born at Climax, Kansas, July 24, 1881. She has been a resident of Ashlund the past six months. Her marriage to Olin Hunt took place at Cli­ max, Kansas February 21, 1900. They moved to Klamath county in 1908 from Kansas and home­ steaded in the Tule Lake country. Survivors include her husband, Olin Hunt, Ashland; seven child- Falls; Mrs. Ray Morris, Crescent ren: Mrs. H. O. Hanson, Klamath Falls; Mrs. Walter Galbraith, Kirkland, Washington; Mrs. Wal­ ter Reid, Portland; Eunice Hunt, Kirkland, Wash.; Cecil C. Hunt, Bonanza; Donald E. Hunt, Eu­ gene.
