Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Tilllord
sold their home in Talent and
moved to Prospect Mr. Tilllord
is employed with the Skeeter's
lumber company.
The Talent Grange met lor
their regular meeting April 5,
they also observed the 17th an­
niversary The occasion was open
ed with a potluck dinner and
many Grangers and iriends irom
various parts ol the county were
present to take part. The pro­
gram for the evening opened by
Elvarine Newman, various games
and contests concluded the pro­
gram. The remainder ol the even
ing was spent with music by the
Grange orchestra and dancing.
Mrs Sylvia Bates, chairman ol
the H.E.C. announced that the
next meeting ol the club will be
at the Grange hall Tuesday,
April 10.
Talent Extension unit met at
10:30 A. M. April 11 in the City
hall. War time refrigerator de­
serts were demonstrated by Mrs.
McCracken and Mrs. Harris.
There w’as a covered dish lunch­
eon at noon.
Mrs. Hazel Skeeters spent Sun­
day in Grants Pass.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Coats of
Phoenix were business callers in
Talent Friday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Clark
and family of Valley View dis
trict visited relatives in Talent
Sunday.
The O.D.O. Club met at the
home of Mrs. Tom Bell Friday
afternoon. Those present were

Mrs. Mabel Penlin of Phoenix,
Mrs. Edna Holdrige, Mrs. Ben
Clark, Mrs. Belle Levander, Mrs.
Mary Withrow, Mrs. Blanch Rob
inson, Mrs. Myrtle Jacobs, Mrs.
Grace Galbreith, Mrs. Linnie
Rapp, Pauline Allen and the host

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Clark
and family of Ashland called on
Mr. Clarks parents Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Clark, Sunday evening, Mrs
Raymond Clark is leaving Mon­
day evening for South Dakota to
visit her parents and other rela­
tives.
The Talent Garden Club met
at the home of Mrs. Knorps on
Wagner Creek last week. Their
subject of discussion was flower
gardening. Refreshments of sand
wiches, cake, coffee and tea were
served. Their was a good atten­
dance present.
Mi-s. Grace Galbreith recently
returned home
from Richard­
son Springs in the mountains
near Chico .California. Her heal­
th is greatly improved.
Mrs. Sue Clayton aged 94 years
old suffered severe injuries in a
fall at her home Saturday even­
ing and was removed to the Com
munity hospital in Ashland.
