Wayne Lemley brought four
dry cells to the science class and
the students made several inter­
esting experiments with them.
One of the things they did was
to connect a door-bell to the dry
cells.
Room VIII
Room VII has two new pupils
added to its enrollment. Lou Ann
Ballard came here from Taft,
Oregon. Terry Coffee has return­
ed to Ashland and the Washing­
ton school after living in Los An­
geles for several months.
The boys and girls play with
the basket balls whenever the
time permits. The bqyz have form
ed two teams, known as 8-1 and
8-2. Under the supervision of Mr.
Fader they have played several
matched games with the two
teams of Room VII. The players
in 8-1 are: John Clark, Ryle
Stemple, Harold Fowler, Bill

hatched from an egg, and anoth­
er that parasites living on the
horse-hair would make it squirm.
Everyone has changed readers
and find the new ones much to
their liking.
Committees have been appoint­
ed for a party Friday afternoon.
The party is a reward for work
during the paper drive.
Room VII
In the art class the sixth grade
has been doing some clay model­
ling. Most of the class made fig­
ures of animals and several of
the best ones are on display in
the room.
In arithmetic they are learning
how to multiply decimals. They
learned a new and shorter way
to multiply decimals by 10, 100,
and 1000.
Room VII is planning a party for
Friday afternoon, January 26,

of the refreshment committee
