SOCE Professor Talk Wednesday Evening
At the regular meeting of the
Lions club Tuesday evening at
the Plaza Cafe, Angus L. Bowmer
a member of the SOCE faculty,
was the speaker for the evening.
Mr. Bowmer has recently return
ed from a tour of duty with the
army, and more lately from Hol
lywood where he was on detach
ed duty in a reserved status. He
told of some of the technical
problems in the motion picture
industry, gleaned from his work
there with the Signal Corps.
Members present found his talk
interesting and instructive.
Also reports were heard from
the Scóut committee and the
Scoutmaster and assistant Scout
master for Troop 12 on the pos
sibilities of the newly acquired
scout camp area.
Next Tuesday evening, at the
regular meeting, two Navy men
from the recruiting service will
meet with the club to discuss
the very urgent need for men to
go into radar training for duty
