Eugene, Oregon, announce* Paul
N. Plank who ha* been named
Local Supervisor in charge of the
area.
Ueorge H. Todd, Eugene, ha*
been named a* Assistant Super
visor. Enumeration of all farm*

of Congress, the Census itself be
ing provided for in the Constitu
tion. This year, enumeration will
start January 8, 1845.
It is asked that all persons in
terested in assisting with this
work, contact the district head
quarter* in Eugene, or write.
First preference in hiring of enu
merators will be given to Veter
ans, thereafter to anyone quali

their wives seriously consider
giving time this winter, to this
job of enumerating, for Uncle
Sam.
Starting about December 15th,
a series of schools will be held
in each county of the area, with
each school of instruction lasting
about three days.
Farmers are urged to, as much
as is possible have the informa
tion in readiness for the Census
enumerator when he arrives at
the farm. It is pointed out that
all information given the enum
erator will be held in absolute
confidence, and that no-one has
access to the information, except
the authorized employees of the
Bureau of The Census.
