Oregon Green A ssociation has

teach the p u b lic to be m ore " fir e
conscious” , There have been v a r­
ious m eetings to date, under the
d ire ctio n o f R ob e rt E. Dodge,
Jackson C o u n ty ch airm a n o f the
Keep Oregon Green Association.
The m ost im p o rta n t o rg a n iza ­
tio n now w o rk in g is th e Green
Guards, organized in the schools
th ro u g h o u t the county. These s tu ­
dents, n um bering some 2,000 in
Jackson county, are g iven badges
j and service stripes and in s tru c te d
