The m inisters decided the day of invasion will be the m ost serious day of the present war, and th a t m ost every home all over the world will in some way be touched by it. The Ash land M inisters’ Association is sug gesting to church people of all denom inations th a t they open their church doors for public pray er im m ediately when the Eu ropean invasion is announced. This recom m endation is in line w ith the expressed wishes of m il itary leaders and of s ta te offi cials. I t will have its influence in sustaining sp iritu al m orale d u r ing the terrible crisis. Thousands who believe im plicitly in the pow er and benefit of pray er will re ceive com fort and stren g th I t is planned th a t im m ediately when the announcem ent comes th a t the Invasion is in progress the p as to rs will see th a t th eir churches are open, and everyone is request ed insofar as possible to drop his job for a period and go to his or another church to join with others in prayer. The churches will re m ain open during the rest of D- Day so long as there are people atten d in g in prayer.
