THERE IS
DECREASE OF ONE PERCENT
IN VEHICLE R^LSTRATION
Motor vehicle registrations in
Oregon at the end of July totaled
401,795, Bob Farrell, secretary of
state, announced today. This com
pares to a registration of 408,437 I
vehicles a year ago, a decrease of
a little over one per cent.
There were 323,673 private pas-'
senger cars registered in the state
1,080 busses, 32,989 light trucks
and 41,038 heavy trucks.
Registraton fees total $3,247,888
compared to $3,209,044. The in
crease is due to increased numb
ers of trucks and busses register
ed in the state. Truck registry-,
tions are up three percent and bus
registrations show an increase of
42 percent.
