Lincoln School

At 1 o'clock on Monday, Nov.
10. all of the pupils of Lincoln
school met on the playgrounds
rind had a patriotic assembly. The
songs that they sang were Amer­
ica, America the Beautiful, God
Bless America and the Star
Spangled Banner. At the last the
children saluted the flag. The sa­
lute was led by Richard Adams of
room 6.
Miss Jeanette Smith came to
Lincoln school for a Book W«ek
assembly. The upper grades went
to Miss Bork'a room to listen. The
books she told them about were
Thimble Summer, The Good Mas­

Room 8 has been studying the
water system of Ashland. On Nov.
3, Mr. Hosier, the water superin­
tendent, came and answered the
questions the children asked They
learned many things they did not
know about Ashland water sys­
tem.
