• The Community club held their
Christmas party at the Grange
hail Wednesday of last week, with
a large number of member, pres­
ent. The hall was attractively
decorated in Christmas colors, anil
the red and green colors were
used effectively in the table dec­
orations and refreshments.

Christmas tree was enjoyed by
the members, at which time their
mystery friends were disclosed.
Members then drew names for
mystery friends for the coming
year. At the next meeting, which
will be held Jan. 11. Mrs Sheraud

of the program and Mrs. Herman
Helm, Mrs Russell and Mrs. Bad­
ger are the appointed hostesses.

his condition is much improved
and he will soon be home.

teacher in the school, is ill at her

• A house party was held at the
home of Mm. Jane Coffman Fri­
day evening. Quite a number of
friends from Phoenix and Talent
were present. The evening was
spent in games and dancing.

Phoenix spent Wednesday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Cooper.
