LIRE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS!
Albeit they are a bit noisy, firecrackers are an
integral part of any enthusiastic observance oi inde­
pendence day in America, and the popping papers nave
always been associated with youngsters celebration
of July 4.
According to Ashland fire and police officials, the
use of crackers during the holiday here in past years
has resulted in no menace to either property or limb.
Tney have furnished many hours oi enjoyment tor
gleeful youngsters every summer and continuance oi
tne custom in Ashland has been one of this city s
strong drawing cards during its famous Fourth oi
July celebrations.
Kids—and their parents—deprived of the privilege
elsewhere, have grown to respect and appreciate the
Lithia City's tolerance and understanding attitude
toward the noisy manifestations of inborn patriotism.
