A Bachelder returned to her home in Portland Sunday after spending the past two months with relative» here and in Medford. • Punk Dunnington, Theron Ap plebaker and Aaron Rhoten com pleted their share of steel work on the new Applegate bridge late last week. The structure will be ready for service soon as deck is completed. • A misprint in last week's Miner misspelled Lee Kauffman's name, when it appeared as chairman of streets and roads committee for the jubilee. • Miss Virginia Fick, who re ceived the appointment as post master at Crater Lake, expects to take over her new duties about the middle of June. • E I. Applegate of Klamath Falls and Palo Alto, Calif., visited his sisters, Mrs C. C. Chitwood and Mrs. C. W. Miller, last week end. Soft drinks, pie and coffee will be served by the new owners, over the bar that wan new In 1852. The old ledger from that year, with entries showing that pie was 25 cents a cut, *1 complete, will be on display. However, the man agement hastens to assure you that the tariffs of 1852 will not hold at present.
