Discharged from Hospital—Bill Hack
ett was discharged from a Medford hos
pital Saturday. Although a resident of
the Applegate section, Mr. Hackett is
staying with Jacksonville friends

Ogle and sons John and Junior and
Mr and Mrs. J W Welch and children
of Klamath Falls arrived in our city
Thursday to enjoy a delicious Christmas
dinner.
Local Resident III—Mr. W F. Wool-
tan. local resident, was taken to the
Jacksonville sanitarium Monday for
treatment He was quite ill when re
ceived but is reported as steadily im
proving
Visit Brother and Sister—Mrs. Paul
ine Bailey and Mrs. Daisy Miller of
Portland are visiting their sister and
brother, Miss Mary Wetterer and Joe
Wetterer. This is their first visit to
Jacksonville in 19 years.

Returns from Hospital

little boy has returned from the Shrin-
ers hospital at Portland where he was
operated on and is reported in an im
proved condition and we all hope for
a complete recovery for him.

Catch Three Fish—V. J. Beach and
Frank and Jeff Clogston spent Wednes
day fishing in Rogue river. The trio re
turned with three large silversides,
each approximately two feet long. Sea
food is reported on the menu for Thurs-
day

greetings to its many friends and
sincerely thanks them for their lib
eral patronage. During the coming
year Amy will endeavor to maintain
the same cordial relations but cir
cumstances make it absolutely
necessary to drastically curtail the
credit hitherto granted.

Group Visits Here—Mrs. Nanna Can-
trail and daughter, Miss Cordelia, mot-
ored from Klamath Falls Saturday and
were guests of her son, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Cantrall of Medford, and also
her sisters, Mrs. John Orth and Mrs. A.
H. Miller of that city, and accompanied
Mr and Mrs. Edward Cantrail and Mrs.
L. F. Slaven to our city as guests of
Grandma Cantrail and Amy C. Dow.

Former Resident Dies—Paul Ensele,
formerly of this city, died at Palo Alto,
Cal He was a war veteran and made
his residence at Palo Alto for the past
12 years. He leaves his parents, Mr
and Mrs. Ensele, four brothers and
seven sisters. Interment was in the
Jacksonville cemetery.

Mother and Daughter Well—Mrs. C.
E Ogle and daughter born December
19 have left the hospital and returned
to their home in Medford. Mrs. Ogle
will be remembered here as Miss
Gladys Mandaville. She was employed
at the local county superintendent’s of
