Personal News Notes
Before the local fans the Jack­
sonville team showed some bril­
liant action and defeated their op­
ponents 14 to 9.
The first half of the game was
nip and tuck, until the last part
of the second quarter the Talent
peppy Pepper made a field goal.
At the end of the half the score
was 5 to 3 in Talent's favor
In the third quarter the J'ville
team came in with lots of pep
and scored five points, to give
their team a three-point lead.
In the fourth quarter Bostwick,
fast all-star forward of Jackson­
ville, scored four points, and Ay­
ers, left guard, scored two points.
But in the fourth quarter the
J'ville team was not the only one
that was putting the ball through
the hoop; the Talent boys were
playing a good game and they
scored four points in the last quar­
ter.
The lineup for the teams was
as follows:
Jacksonville—Forwards, Backes
Johnson and Bostwick; center,
Flitcroft; guards, Ayers and Mitch­
ell.
Talent—Forwards, Yaryan and
D Jones; center, E. Jones; guards.
Pepper and Richardson.
Aside from the A team's con­
ference game the B team played
a non-conference game with the
Medford junior high. The Medford
team had the upper hand in the
first half. But in the second half
the J'ville B team settled down
and held the Medford team
throughout. Final score was 22
to 7 in Medford’s favor.
The Jacksonville lineup included
the following players: Forwards,
Littell, Graham, Johnson and Dun-
nington; center, Nunn; guards,
Lorton and Sanden.
