pose being to, secure a fund with which
to-meet the -expenses of posse of Bien
to be sent to Puget Sound for the wortr

a half dosen men here anxious to strike
the trail, and it ts proposed to pay their
expenses and have them assist-the Wash
tngton officers in the chase. Among the
men planning to go are several who are
