in part: 1
."Gentlemen, give me your attention for
a few m'nutes. During the continuance
of this, strike be orderly, be gentleman
ly, arid be firm. Remember that upon
your shoulders rests the responsibility of
good citizenship. Do nothing to blacken
or tarnish the good name of organized
labor. There , can be no question as to
the result.' Employ no harshness In ar

alone, Do not report to the mill
for work until you receive orders to do
so from the officers of the union. I con
gratulate you on your fearless end unan

The speech was greeted with tremen
dous applause, and all dispersed for their
respective homes.
Pickets will be stationed at all ap
proaches to ' the mill, and every effort
will be made by the employes to guard
against any damage being dor.d to the
company's property.
The causes leading up to the strike are
Identical in every way to those which
caused a short shutdown of the Jones
mill. - The failure of the company to ree
ofinize the union Is the main reason for
the strike today.'
