Two special Christmas programs
are to be presented, this year, by
the Canyon Road Baptist Church,
in their new Chapel on N. E Can­
yon road at McLain Drive.
The first will he a Christmas
play, being prepared by the Young
Peoples’ Department, for presenta­
tion next Sunday, Dec. IS, at 7:30
p. m., instead of the usual evening
service. Mrs. Oscar Krugei is di­
recting the Youth Fellow-hip in
this play.
The second will be the regular
Christmas Tree program of the
Sunday School, and will he given
on the Friday before Christmas.
Dec. 23, at 7:30 p. m. Mrs. Eugene
Crosby and Mrs. Kruger are head­
ing up the committee for this pro­
gram. The general public is invited
to both programs.
Saturday of this week is to be
moving day at the Canyon Road
Church, when the men will he

West Beaverton announces that it
will show the following films this
Saturday morning and on Sunday
evening.
On Saturday morning the "Ten
Commandments" in film stiip form
will be shown from 9:00 a. m. to
11 00 a. m. This series of ten film­
strips was prepared to aid teachers
of religion in impressing the will
of God as contained in the l a w
They also aid pupils in under­
standing this will of God and the
nature of a truly Christian life as
it is based on the love of God and
as it flows from the faith of the
child of God.
On Sunday evening Pilgtim will
show the slide film “Christmas in
Bethlehem" which is the Chiist-
mas story in Ceramirs This will
be followed by slides on the his­
tory of the church. There will also
be community singing. The pro­
gram begins at 8:00 p. m.
The children have also been
practicing for their now well
known annual presentation of the
Christmas story. Children's Christ­
mas program will he given at the
church on Christmas eve, the 24th,
at 7:30 p. m

Bethany Baptist Church, of which
Rev. Frank Friesen Is minister,
will present a Christmas musical,

by the choir and various special
selections featuring a male quartet,
ladles duet, and Instrumental num­
bers.

by the choir are “The Christmas
Story.” based on the tune from
Handel's hvmn; 'While Shepherds
