Osterloh, son of Mrs. Hannah Osterloh of Bea verton was a candidate for the degree of Master of Science in Retailing at New York Univer sity’s 115th Commencement ex ercise held Wednesday morning June 11, it was announced by Dr. Charles M. Edwards, dean of the New York University School of Retailing. Mr. Osterllcn attended Wash ington High School In Portland and later the University of Ore gon where he was granted the degree of Bachelor of Science in 1943. After inspecting the camp and its new buildings, the braver spirits went swim mlng, after which a tie game of soft-ball was played. The aft ernoon’s fun was closed with a picnic in the Council Fire Area. Camp Adams will open June 23rd with a Younger Boys Camp, for boys from 9 to 12, which will lie followed by periods for every age group in the weks following. A large number of young peo ple from Bethel Church have already signed op for the Con ferences and more are expected to do so as the season advances. Miss Amarette Barnes and Miss Bernice Conoiy are on the Staff of the Younger Girls Camp, and the pastor will teach in the Sen ior High Camp In July. Sheets home and attending the 95th Oregon Methodist State Conference heid in Portland this week. • • a On Tuesday evening at the regular meeting of the Rebekan Lodge there was a good atten dance. The Memorial srevice was put on very impressively led by Sister Bertha Anderson after which the Degree work was put on. There were \isitors from sev- eral lodges. Some came for the pot luck dinner at 6:30. All reported they spent a worth while evening.
