Methodists Arrange 1 To Secure Future Church Site In lieu of the expanding Church School which has more than doub­ led its membership in the past eighteen months, and the ever­ growing church membership, the Official Board of the First Meth­ odist Church recently authorized the trustees to purchase the quar­ ter block east of the present church. Though not contemplating im­ mediate construction it has been deemed advisable to secure this much needed property that when the proper time has arrived the church will have ample room for a more modern and much needed church educational plant and sanc­ tuary. Bonebrake of Aloha was taken to the Doernbecher Hospital Tuesday evening. March 25 with bronchial pneumonia. He was given a blood transfusion and is able to be taken out of the oxygen tent. The couple was married March 28 in the Kenilworth Pres­ byterian church In Portland at an eight o’clock candlelight cere­ mony. The bride was attended by her sister, Maryjane, and the best man was Eugene Barna, of San Mateo, California, brother of the groom. A reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Merchant, in Portland, followed the ceremony. Mrs. Merchant is an aunt of the bride. The bride's gown was the tra­ ditional white satin, with a sweet­ heart neckline; she wore a finger­ tip veil, and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and white sweet- peas. The maid of honor wore a blue tulle dress and carried yellow car­ nations and grape hyacinths, and wore a flower halo of matching blossoms. The flower girl, Karen Barna, niece of the groom, wore yellow tulle and. earned a basket of flowers and nosegays of blue and yellow blossoms.
