Most of the supplies needed for
the annual March of Dimes in
Washington county during the
last two weeks of January are
on hand, County Drive Chairman

announced
this
week. Organization for the col­
lection moved forward with the
naming of another area chair­
man.
Mrs. R. E. Christensen will a

Three conveyors, two air com­
pressors, one bituminous distribu­
tor
for
road-building and a
crawler-type tractor in poor con­
dition are among the machinery
on list No. J-560 offered by Port­
land War Assets administration.
Two conveyors are the belt
transfer type and the other the
chain transfer type.
The bitu­
minous distributor is mounted on
a trailer and equipped with both
power oil and centrifugal asphalt
pumps. The crawler-type tractor
is equipped with a half-yard ca­
pacity hydraulic shovel. Closing
date for the sale is January 13.
Other current WAA offerings
are:
List No. J-459, which includes
two cement mixers, two centrifu­
gal pumps and one used cater­
pillar tractor, has a January 17
closing date.
List No. J-529, consists of mis­
cellaneous industrial equipment,

uary, reflecting the difficulty of
marketing a large crop Willa­
mette valley growers have report­
ed. Also on the list as repeaters
from December are potatoes, on­

juices, and turkeys. The monthly
abundant food list is prepared
by the state PMA office for dis­
tribution to schools taking part
in the Oregon school lunch pro­
gram.
