A loan program for 1946 crop
hay and pasture seed has been an
nounced by the United States De
partment o f Agriculture, accord
ing to the weekly specialty crops
review, prepared by the OSC ex
tension service from USDA mar
ket reports and other data as re
ceived by Palmer S. Torvend
county agent.
The program is
similar to that of 1045 except
that several grasses are not in
volved in the program this year
that were last, and loan rates on
some have been lowered.

and on uncertified alstke 25 cents
a pound. Certified northern al
falfa seed has been given a loan
rate of 40 cents a pound.
