loiter—sea gulls by the score, I wonder if they are of a ner
vous temperament, they must he because they are ever on
the go—a stately liner, bound for the Islands or the Orient
perhaps, wish I was abroad—carefree children and serious
men and women pass in review—youngsters whistling
off key and when I can doted music being off key, it has
to be had. No, I didn't got away from things or people,
hut I enjoyed the experience immensely! Got a lot of
new slants, made me forget about myself and that’s a
mjghty fine thing for anyone now and then.

Post as yet enlightened us on this question of etiquette.
The highways are crowded with men, women and boys,
destination unknown, who are willing and anxious to give
motorists the pleasure of their company in exchange for
transportation. When you are alone, the problem is sim
ple,—either you give them a lilt or you don’t. 1 he tact
that your car may be fully occupied does not seem to deter
the walkers and this presents a situation that perplexes.
Just what is the correct practice to follow? Does proper
etiquette prescribe that your regularly invited guests
should he asked to leave the car so as to make place tor the
applicants? Naturally, we want to do the right tiling!
