At that time there were only 3 teach ers with an expense of $ol0. The census showed only 140 pupils. In 1903-1904 the census showed ¿55 pupils, 3 teachers, with an a n nual expense of $1349. In 1910-1911 the census was 322 pupils, 5 teachers, a new building was erected costing $8000. T he ex pense was $11902. 1920-21 t h e census jumped to 504, and in t h e high and grade schools there were 11 teachers and it cost the district $23,401. 1925-20 the census showed 599 pupils, 18 teachers and an expense of $30,850. In 5 years the expense increased from $23,UN) to $3o,85o.
