through tho (ioisor-Hendryx Invest
ment company, to J. Anderson, of
South Diikota. Tho price is under
stood to bo 825,000. . Tho property
was formerly held by J. F. Wiitsou,
of Portland.
Tho development work will bo in
-charge of tho Golser-llendryx com
pany. All)ort Uoiser loft today with
sevoral waou loads of supplies to
start active operations at once. Tho
now owner has pledged siitllciont
funds to provide for tho continuous
development of tho property.
Tho Kcystouo is an old property
having been located in 1881. A mill
was built on it, and the ore is said
to Iiiito yielded good values. Wil
liam Ladd, of Portland, was formerly
secretary and treasurer of the com
pany operating it.

A MOO ton quicksilver plant Is go
ing up on tho llliick Hut to mines,
near Cottage Crovo Oregon, in which
(i. it. Dennis of Spokane is Inter
ested. Said Mr. Dennis yesterday:

A dispatch from Seattle states that
advices from Daw-son state that a big
tight between tho people and tho con
cessionaires for hundreds of square
miles of rich placers in tho heeart of
tho Klondike district has com
menced. The royal commission appointed
by tho Canadian government to hold
an exhaustive Inquiry in tho matter
has arrived at Dawson. It is com
posed of Judge ilrittou and llonjn
mill Hell, the latter a most noted
Canadian mining man. The commis
sion has nil the powers of and its acts
will be of similar authority to those
of a high court. Tlio heaviest array
of legal talent ever gathered in tho
north will defend the concessions.
The case against tlio concessions
will be presented by tho Dawson
Hoard of Trade, which expects to oc
cupy two weeks In giving evidence.
The Hoard of Trade will attack at
least six concessions, including the
Treadgold, Hoyle, Quart. Creek. Mil
ler Creek, Hronson and Kay, Mntson
and Doyle.
